Trump Covid diagnosis shortens Mike Pompeo's Asia trip

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is cutting short his trip to East Asia in light of Donald Trump's COVID-19 diagnosis. 

America's top diplomat is currently in Japan and has cancelled this week's scheduled visits to Mongolia and South Korea. 

But Mike Pompeo will meet with Foreign Minister Marise Payne in Tokyo today as well as his counterparts from Japan and India ahead of his departure to Washington. 

They'll be discussing the post-COVID-19 international order and the need for a coordinated response to the various challenges emerging from the pandemic.
